AUCKLAND – NEW ZEALAND – WORKERS INJURED IN SCAFFOLDS COLLAPSE.
On february 21 scaffolds assembled under a bridge in East Auckland collapsed, with 7 workers on it, and fall into the river.
Four people from a painting company were taken to the hospital. Another person was taken to the local medical centre.
According to a witness the workers “were sliding down and falling off”.
Six workers fell into the water. Just one was trapped on the bridge, and was rescued.
Affordable Scaffolding is the company that erected the scaffolds.
WorkSafe said it was investigating and could not comment while that was under way.
